Shipping FAQ
Shipping FAQ
Will my package be subject to customs duties?
When ordering from Layla Evans, customers from certain countries, such as Belgium or the Netherlands, will be considered importers of the products they purchase and will be responsible for all duties, import taxes, GST, VAT, or any similar customs-related fees. Customs policies vary from country to country, and Layla Evans cannot guarantee whether shipments will be subject to customs-related fees. Please contact your local customs office for more information.
Layla Evans does not pay customs duties for these packages.
Why is my package being held at the post office?
If you receive a notice that you can pick up your package at your local post office, there are usually a few reasons:
A signature was required for the package, but no one signed for it. The postman will leave a notice so you can pick it up in person.
The package is too large to fit in your mailbox. The post office will hold oversized packages for pickup.
There is a problem with the address, such as an incorrect apartment number or street name. This may result in the package being returned to the post office.
For international shipments, the package may need to clear customs before delivery. You may need to provide more information or pay customs duties to collect your package.
The mail carrier cannot access your mailbox or front door due to obstructions, weather, or unsafe conditions.
To collect your held mail or package from the post office, go to your local post office with a valid photo ID and the tracking number or notice you received. Postal staff will locate your item and bring it out for you to pick up. You can also request a redelivery online or contact your local post office.
Why was my order split into multiple packages?
If you find that your single order has been shipped in several different packages, there are usually a few reasons:
Item Availability: Some items in your order may have been shipped from another warehouse that has inventory. This allows the items to be delivered faster without having to wait for all items to arrive.
Weight and Size: Large, heavy, or oddly shaped items may be shipped separately to avoid delivery delays or damage.
Shipping Speed: Some items may be ready to ship earlier than others. Sending some items in separate packages can help get your order to you faster.
Capacity: During the delivery process, one package may have reached the box weight or size limit. The remaining items will need to be packed into a new package.
If your packages are split up, don't worry! You won't have to pay any additional shipping costs for splitting your order. Layla Evans will cover the cost of your entire order being delivered safely.
Tracking numbers for all packages will be emailed to you. You can also view all tracking numbers on the order page.
What compensation do I get if my package is delivered late?
We understand the frustration of not getting your package on time. If your package is delivered late, please contact our customer service department.
We are unable to offer compensation for minor delays of a few days past the estimated delivery date. However, for major delays of more than a week past the estimated delivery date, we offer the following compensation:
We will refund 10% of the total order value to compensate for the inconvenience. We will refund the money immediately once we confirm the delay.
For extreme delays of more than 60 days past the estimated delivery date, you can choose to request a full refund or resend the same order free of charge.
We need time to investigate the cause of the delay and confirm that it is beyond normal shipping disruptions before we can process compensation. Our goal is to deliver your order on time and as promised. If your package arrives later than expected, please contact us so we can correct it.
